Warwick House Wedding
Lucy and James chose to be married at the beautiful Warwick House wedding venue in Southam. The venue offers an outdoor wedding ceremony, as well as a variety of great spots for photos, both indoors and out. Being an adventurous and outdoor loving couple, Lucy and James had their hearts set on an outdoor wedding – but would the weather cooperate?
Warwickshire Wedding Weather
We woke up to a bleak morning and a weather forecast that predicted heavy rains right around the time that the ceremony was due to take place. It looked for a time as if the outdoor ceremony was in real jeopardy, until suddenly, the clouds lifted and the sun came out. It felt spiritual the way the sun shone upon us now, but there was no time for the Warwick House wedding team to rest as they hurried to get the outdoor ceremony set up.
Warwick House Wedding Peparations
From the first time we met Lucy and James, we loved their warm, relaxed and generous nature and we instantly felt comfortable in each other’s company. It is important to get on well with your wedding photographer, and this is especially true during the preparations which can be a very personal time.
Whilst the venue was being prepared, Gosia spent time with Lucy and the bridal party capturing all the hair, make-up and prosecco sipping action. Throughout this time, there is a real focus to capture pictures that encapsulate the fleeting moments of love and emotion within the bridal party room.
Whilst Gosia spent time with the bridal party, I was able to spend time capturing groom portraits with James as well as photographing guests arriving for the ceremony (this is a benefit of having two photographers).
The Ceremony
It was so nice to see Lucy and James get married outdoors. This is something they both really wanted and on your wedding day you’re more than entitled to everything you want!
The ceremony was soon over and as Lucy and James made their way up to the terrace for celebratory drinks, it was clear to see that every wedding guest in attendance was genuinely there to support and share in their union of love and friendship.
Warwick House Wedding Reception
Warwick House wedding venue has a lot to offer, and part of this was a great big terrace just outside the reception room which was great for capturing guests bathing in natural evening light.
Capturing guests congratulating Lucy and James, mingling and chatting generally is such an important part of our style of documentary wedding photography – these are the real and un-orchestrated moments which so many couples value and cherish.
The reception continued long into the evening and Gosia & I are so grateful we could share in this magnificently special day.
Thank you Lucy & James and we wish you a happy lifetime together filled with adventure and endless memory making moments!
Here is a selection of photos from the day; we hope that you enjoy them!
