The Old Stables Swithland Wedding in Leicestershire

Katie & Bob had the most awesome wedding reception at The Old Stable Swithland back in April 2019. But before the party could get started – first the ceremony.

Ceremony

Katie and Bob said “I do” at Cropston pumping station.  The pump house building was built in circa 1857 and we loved its vintage red brick character and charm.  Interesting fact: – the tower that sits atop the building was used to check for any issue on the reservoir located a short distance away.

The ceremony was set to begin shortly before lunchtime. The sunshine that was ordered for the day was in place to, and as guests started to arrive, Bob remained super cool and calm while he kicked back and shared some banter with family and friends.

Soon it was Katie’s turn to arrive, and after a quick rendezvous with the registrar to complete the formalities, it was time for all the months of planning to culminate into the moments of laugher, love, tears and vows during ceremony time. Apart from the beautiful moments of ring exchange and first kiss, there was also the little matter of Bob’s super funny  ‘Mash-up’ of vows – a moment we’re sure Katie will never let Bob live down 🙂

Reception – The Old Stables Swithland

After the ceremony, it was time to relax, chat and share a drink with family and friends before a short road trip over to The Old Stables Swithland.  This very cool wedding venue in Leicestershire set the scene and provided the perfect wedding day backdrop for the celebrations to come.

Throughout the afternoon and into the evening, the wedding party were able to make use of the indoor and outdoor space on offer at The Old Stables Swithland.  Celebrations were a plenty, and we thoroughly enjoyed capturing all these moments – the speeches, the bingo & banter, the dancing & Stroh rum drinking and the all-round good times and happy vibes.
