Hampton Manor Wedding Photography – Helen & John

Hampton Manor Wedding Photography on one of the hottest days of the year.

Today we’re throwing it back to last summer on what was one of the hottest days of the year! No challenge is too great for us and the scorching heat only added to the excitement we felt to be experiencing Hampton Manor Wedding Photography for the first time. Hampton Manor is such a grand and beautiful venue, and for our first visit here, we honestly could not have asked for a nicer couple than Helen & John.

Helen & John both got ready at their respective family homes. We love capturing preparations in our couple’s homes as we feel it adds such a nice and personable feel to the getting ready pictures. We especially love how Helen’s wedding gift was hidden amongst bicycles in the garden shed.

After getting ready, it was time for the ceremony at Helen’s family church. Due to restrictions in place at the time, entry numbers to the church were limited but the flip side was guests got to enjoy the ceremony from the comfort of the church hall grounds opposite the church – complete with hay bale seating and celebratory drinks close on hand.

….. and the Oompah Band

The ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt and thereafter it was time to depart for Hampton Manor for the reception and for the festivities to begin!

Upon arrival, drinks were shared, and not long after quests were greeted by the most amazing Oompah band. The band had the whole wedding party dancing outdoors (despite the heat) and in hindsight, we’ve gone on to recommend outdoor first dances and Oompah bands to every couple we meet haha…

Later on, guests enjoyed a meal together followed by speeches and then video messages from friends and family in the lounge. Oh, and let’s not forget the bouquet toss – so much fun, and such a shame it’s something we don’t see as often at weddings anymore.

Helen & John’s deep love for each other is so heart-warming and we are super grateful they chose us to capture their most epic and special day. Thank you both!
