We were really looking forward to photographing Amy & Harleigh’s wedding at The Granary at Fawsley. Set within Northampton’s Fawsley Estate, this beautiful countryside venue truly is the Midlands best kept secret.

Amy and the girls spent the night before the wedding at the venue and the stylish and contemporary rooms set the scene for an exciting wedding day.

Despite the forecast of bad weather and big ominous clouds looming over the surrounding hills, the girls were super relaxed and on schedule, so much so, there was even time for some fun bridal party photographs in the courtyard.

Make-up and hair were soon complete and it was time for Amy to step into her gorgeous wedding dress. All the girls lent a helping hand and everything came together so perfectly that no words can describe how beautiful and radiant Amy looked.

With just an hour left until the ceremony, the boys arrived, bringing with them bags of laughter and top class banter. They all looked dapper in their tweed suits and after taking time to cut their jacket vents, there was just enough time to meet and greet guests before heading over to the barn for the ceremony to start at 15:30 – sharp.

Sunshine, Thunderstorms and Wedding Vows

The Granary at Fawsley Wedding Barn hosted the wedding ceremony and looked amazing in shades of pastel pink.

As the wedding guests were being seated inside, outside the heavens opened and let loose danger level thunderstorms. If rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck, Amy and Harleigh are guaranteed enough luck to last a lifetime. Regardless of the weather, this was still the best day ever for a wedding. Fact!

During the course of the ceremony, there were a couple of beautiful speeches from loved ones along with plenty of tender smiles and kisses…..oh and the exchange of rings too.

Throughout the day there were so many great moments to capture. Whether big or small, every moment of every day is special and we’re so grateful Amy and Harleigh trusted us to document these for them with our natural storytelling approach.

We did also set aside some time to wander around the venue for some ‘couple time’ photographs. With big landscapes, dramatic skies and countryside everywhere – our job with this gorgeous bride and groom was made a breeze!

Soon it was time for speeches and dinner and not long thereafter friends and family joined the newlyweds to share in general partying and dance floor mayhem (yes gents, we’re looking at you here 😊).

Later as we left The Granary at Fawsley wedding party in full swing, there was just time enough to reflect on what a wonderful day this was – So much action, love and laugher!
